New youth group

Screenshot 2014-10-03 07.10.37 (2)We are pleased to announce that Frassati Australia we will be piloting Frassati Youth – a weekly event throughout Term Four, 2014.

Frassati Youth aims to inspire holiness and virtue in high school-aged young people, under the patronage of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati.
• Starts Friday 10 October 2014 from 6:30-8:30
• Will happen every Friday of term 4, 2014, except November 7.
• At Marymac Hall, next to Mary Immaculate Church 616 Ipswich Rd, Annerley
• Free dinner each week.
• Games
• Includes authentic catechesis, and discussion rooted in Catholic tradition and spirituality

The Frassati Youth Team includes young men and women with experience in youth ministries including NET Ministries Australia and Project Hatch Pty Ltd. as well as local parish youth ministries. We are under the direct guidance of Father Paul Chandler, head of Frassati Australia.

We aim to pilot this youth group for term 4 before officially launching in term 1 of 2015.

Verso L’Alto – Monday 25 August 2014

Verso L’Alto on Monday, August 25th, 2014, will commence with Mass at 7:00pm in the Extraordinary Form (Saint Louis, King and Confessor) in Mary Immaculate Church, 616 Ipswich Road, Annerley.

Mass will be followed by a talk “Why Read the Fathers of the Church?” by Brother Robert Krishna OP, in the Marymac Centre, beside Mary Immaculate Church.

Young adults are especially invited.

Verso L’Alto – Monday 18 August 2014

Verso L’Alto this Monday night will begin with an Ordinary Form Mass at 7:00am in Mary Immaculate Church, Annerley.  It will be a votive Mass in honour of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati.

Following Mass will be the The Monday Night Debate in the Marymac Community Centre on the topic of “Defending the Faith – as a soldier or a diplomat?”

Young adults are especially invited.

Verso L’Alto tonight

Young adults are especially invited to Frassati Australia’s Monday night Verso L’Alto – Monday 28th July 2014.

Mass will be celebrated in the Extraordinary Form at 7:00pm in Mary Immaculate Church, Annerley (today is the feast of St Nazarius and Celsus, St Victor I and St Innocent I, Popes, in the old calendar).

After Supper in the Marymac Community Centre, Father Paul will give a catechesis on the Four Last Things and Indulgences.
